Drac In The Box

Retrocrush

I sent a message to Jack In The Box headquarters presenting My marketing idea of a "Drac In The Box", which is basically Jack made-up like Dracula - cape, fangs, widow's peak, accent, etc., for the cultural Halloween season. Just a haunting vision that for some reason I had to get out to the proper avenues, in the Lesser Magic principle of pro-acting upon one's environment in the microcosmic {one's own total-environment Lair} as well as the macrocosmic {the outer-world} - and it was done. Following is the actual email correspondence:

To Whom It May Concern,

For the past couple of years, I have had a redundant thought pertaining to Jack in The Box for Halloween - the persistent idea for a "Drac in The Box" for this season - I can forsee Jack with fangs, a cape, perhaps with catsup dripping from his fangs and uttering the inevitable Transylvanian accent. I expect no recompense for this idea, just to see this used for commercials and advertising would be enough. Perhaps somehow connecting it with The Nightmare Before Christmas would be wonderful as well, like selling DVD's and videos at store locations would be marvellous. Jack does kind of look like Jack Skellington as well. but I feel this would be a great take on it.

This is the only email I could locate, so if you could possibly please forward this to the proper channels, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Draconis Blackthorne.

Dear Draconis,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your idea for our Jack Antenna Balls. Please be advised that at Jack in the Box, we have internal departments which we rely on solely for our marketing ideas/concepts.

We do not solicit ideas from outside sources, nor do we pay for these ideas. With this in mind, I am unable to address your ideas or forward them within our company.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate your thinking of our organization.

Sincerely,

Eileen Durham

So if this campaign is initiated, despite they not soliciting outside sources {actually, this Nucleic Source projected to that source}, the idea has been cast, and you know where it originated, even if only the "antenna balls". You know, the funny thing is, that I do not frequent this "fast-food" establishment, yet the pervasiveness of the thought needed to be brought into the 3rd dimension. Plus, it would just be quite amusing to be driving out somewhere and notice a Drac-In-The-Box in the Autumn months. I have also considered the resurrection of the past orthodoxies of many of the original edifices which once graced the land, such as that displayed in the relative image above - as well as many of those other creative additions in Americana prior to the blandness which besets the culture now. Even if the first ones were razed, the current "retro" fascination I feel is a healthy pre-occupation and program upon the herd.
