Devil, incubus, gentleman, martini, scoundrel

Twinkle, twinkle, little stars

The Devil drives the bus on the highway to Hell loaded with damned souls on Route 666...?

* ITEM: Parent outraged over possible pentagram symbol on Mid-South bus.

Personally, I think this looks fantastic. There definitely is a certain natural grace to the phi-ratio engendered in the pentagram, and what it represents to the individual. To a christian, it is something to fear; to a weakan, something equivalent to a cross {weakans and xians should really just hold hands and group hug, being just another blindlight 'religion' after all}; to the typical plebeian, perhaps confusion and maybe just a plain cool design.

However, these are most probably not intended as anything religious at all to begin with, but a charming design for little children - as in "Twinkle, twinkle, little star", and "Star Light, Star Bright". The issue is with hysterical parents trying to ruin a good idea. Perhaps when more of the stylized shapes begin appearing on lights as they are created by the manufacturer, like squares, triangles, circles, rings, x's, tic-tact-toe, various characters, etc., then those claims will be seen as the silly paranoia of superstitious minds and satanic panic mentality that they are.

Apart from the new c-s buses automatically receiving these star lights, there are actually customized brake lights for private vehicles that can be acquired, and these "pentagrams" would hypothetically do nicely. I have seen Batman and Knight Rider {even though the scanner is usually located on the front end grill}, among others.

The wise fancy of the eccentric eventually becomes the reality of all. ∞
