The Resurrection of the Living Dead Nativity Scene

Pleased to see this display back up in all of its revelatory glory. Once again, preserved on private property, with personal resources, and keeping with zoning requirements, though apparently certain clandestine blindlighters still seek to thwart freedom of expression, to no avail, despite typically impotent, passive-aggressive veiled threats. Local government officials will merely go through the motions, and the display will remain for the entire holiday expanse just like last year. Once again, the locals seem to enjoy it.

Even if the owner decides not to erect it again next year, being that it has ultimately served publicity purposes, the demon seed of the imagination has been planted for others to go forward with their own creative displays.

Additionally, if there are to be filthy-looking manger scenes on display in the first place {though this is less often the case, considering the constitutional separation of church & state; in other words, keep it to yourself, but definitely not on public property}, then to be "internationally all-inclusive", as it were, the caganer should be included therein, as well as a cagatio, perhaps in place of the baby jesus for certain sensibilities, or maybe the caganer hovering above, with angel or devil wings. Maybe the baby jesus hobo god being bagged by Krampus?

Also, with his increasing prominence, Krampus should be included in Santa displays from now on for a sense of balance, and symbolic of a further evolving society along with its iconography.

But winter holiday displays need not be the only seasonal presentation. Consider the option of a Halloween representation of The Devil at malls, spook houses, and such upon throne, with a couple of lovely wicked witches accompanying, with trick or treaters lined up to receive tricks & treats while dressed in favored costumes. The better ones receiving better candy, of course. Otherwise, the 'trick' commences at the discretion of the ghoulish hosts. ∞
